Came across this on the TechCrunch blog. OpenBC is having a competition where users can submit their design for the OpenBC page. The winner gets a some cash but thats not so important.
I like this Firefox approach to improving and re-designing its UI. Reminds of the amazing ads Firefox was able to come up with by leveraging on their creative userbase.
OpenBC seems to be so popular among all my European friends. Its been profitable since its 3rd month of inception (sometime in 2003) which was unlike LinkedIn (they just broke even March 2006). With a much wider subscriber base of LinkedIn, I wonder why LinkedIn took so long to get it right. Usability wise, I find LinkedIn much better. OpenBC seems very cluttered for some reason. Or maybe its just because I’m used to LinkedIn.
